Why put an IT services company in northwest Ohio?

Our founder, Dave Snyder, grew up in northwest Ohio and during a recent visit home was moved by the shape of the local economy. He decided to give back to the area where he grew up by providing this opportunity.

Does Ruralogic provide services only to local companies?

Ruralogic provides services to local, national, and international companies.

Does Ruralogic have other locations besides Bryan, Ohio?

Ruralogic has locations in Bryan, Archbold, and Napoleon, Ohio, and are expanding to other locations in the United States.

What services does Ruralogic provide?

We provide services in Master Data Management, Application Development, Mobile Development, Quality Management and Testing capabilities, Data Loss Prevention, Business Process Outsourcing, and Web Site Development.

I heard that Ruralogic is a call center. Is that true?

No. Contrary to local public perception, Ruralogic is a software development company, not a call center.

I have my Bachelor’s Degree. Why do I need to take more schooling?

Ruralogic is looking for people with specific skills. This is why the Database Programming Certification program was designed and set up at Northwest State. Individual assessments and skill levels will be addressed.

How do I know if this is the career for me?

Ruralogic is looking for people from all walks of life and industries to become analysts. The database programming classes at Northwest State will prepare you by introducing different computer and programming concepts. Your training will continue after becoming a Ruralogic employee. If you are looking for a change in careers, or enjoy working with computers, this may be the opportunity for you!

Are there career advancement opportunities at Ruralogic?

As we grow, there should be plenty of career advancement opportunities. When someone is hired, they are fully expected to be the best at the position they are hired for. As opportunities arise, Ruralogic first looks to hire from within their own family.

Do I have to become a student at Northwest State Community College to take the database classes?

Yes. After contacting Northwest State and upon successful completion of the knowledge assessment, the process of gaining admission to the college will begin. Once you are a student, you are ready to start the Database Programming Certification classes!

How long does the whole process take?

There are three entities involved in getting people started in classes at Northwest State. Each organization has its own process therefore, there are differing timeframes. To be able to start on time for the class you want, it is best to start the process several weeks before the start date. The program itself is 16 weeks long. At the end of this time, employment interviews will take place. Shortly following this, you could be a Ruralogic employee!

Will I definitely be hired after I finish the classes at Northwest State?

Toward the end of the 16-week course, employment interviews will be conducted to make sure Ruralogic is a good fit for you and vice versa. Upon successful completion of your interviews, an offer may be tendered.

What is a typical day like working at Ruralogic?

There is no set typical day. Depending on what project is being worked on, a day is spent working with a team to provide one of the services we provide, and sometimes, working on multiple projects in different areas at the same time!
